Enjoy Camping in Beautiful Environment

Great Campgrounds in Michigan State Parks

My husband and I enjoy camping in beautiful natural environment such as a river, forest or mountain. I’m so happy to live in Michigan where there are many wonderful forests and lakes.

If you want to go camping at the state park, you need to access here, www.midnrreservations.com to make a reservation.

I will introduce you to a couple of great camping ground sites where I’ve been to help you with your good choices.

Notice!

You need to buy the recreation passport to enter the Michigan State Parks. Here are the costs (Vehicles) for 2021.

  • $ 12. When purchased with your license plate registration renewal through the Secretary of State.
  • $ 17. When purchased at state parks, DNR customer service centers.

1. Interlochen state park

This was the first camping ground we visited since I arrived in the USA. This state park was established as Michigan’s first park by the Michigan Legislature in 1917 and is huge and nice. There are many kinds of things to do like swimming, hiking, paddling or fishing.

It is close enough that you can go to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. I used to go a couple of times a year. I love this place because you can enjoy both taking a rest, visiting city and going to wineries at the same time.

2. Silver lake state park

This is my favorite place to camp for relaxing, great scenery and awesome activities. Campgrounds are located in beautiful Silver Lake and are plenty big, spaces are far apart. The area around the campsite is always clean, including restroom and shower booth areas.

Besides, you can just see the wonderful Sand Dune wherever. There are many exciting activities:  what to do in this area includes Sand Dune rides by car, swimming, fishing, visiting Little Sable Lighthouse and walking the beach on the Lake.

I love walking barefoot through the Sand Dune with my husband early in the morning. I recommend you come and enjoy here. I want you to feel the beauty and excitement of all four seasons like me.

This place must be one of the tourist attractions in the USA. You can enjoy several kinds of amusement facilities like a mini golf club and restaurants. It’s even within walking distance, very close from campground.

I’m standing the Silver Lake Dunes and is the campsite across

from Silver Lake you are looking now.

I took a photo at the observatory of Little Sable Lighthouse.

How beautiful the color of water is!
